We had a fantastic stay at this inn. the ambience was excellent, and the location was perfect. the breakfast and dining options were of high quality, and we particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast. the inn had a nice range of public rooms with comfortable seating. they were very welcoming to our dog, providing towels and a dog bowl.
Felt like visiting family, no reason to complain.

We booked a short break in Scotland and decided to stay overnight in Ullswater on our way back from Fort William. The hotel is beautifully kept and the staff were friendly and attentive. We loved the comfortable bed and the underfloor heating in the bathroom. All the meals we had at the hotel were delicious, especially the gluten-free options for afternoon tea and breakfast. The lake view from our bedroom was absolutely stunning and the room was clean and well-stocked with amenities. The staff at reception, the orangery, and during breakfast were all highly efficient and organized.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a great Christmas stay at a lakeside hotel. The stunning views of the fells and lake from the cozy lounges were absolutely breathtaking. The beautiful and peaceful gardens provided the perfect place to relax and admire the surroundings. The staff were exceptional and provided five-star service throughout our three-night stay.
The food at the hotel was a letdown. The evening meals were quite poor, with dishes that were not up to par.

We stayed at a hotel with a stunning location, right by a beautiful lake and surrounded by mountains. the staff were friendly and professional, and the food was deliciously presented. Our room had a great view of the lake, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. the breakfast was tasty and served promptly. It was a plus that the hotel had manicured gardens and a gazebo for weddings.
There was a minor inconvenience when the bar's fire door constantly slammed shut, causing disturbance to our room directly above it.

Large room, comfortable bed, lovely view of lakes, ceiling fan, lots of mirrors, mugs instead of cups and saucers.
Hot water control on bath not working - water v hot and unable to adjust. Hot/cold labels on basin taps missing. No biscuits in room. Tv small for size of room.

We liked the situation which is difficult to beat. The bedroom we had over looked the lake wich was very pleasant.
I do not understand why the hotel does not do half board. Perhaps they are trying to hide what I considered the high price of the evening meal. At £35.95 per head I considered this was very expensive for what was on offer.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Ullswater. The Fellview room with a spacious layout and a comfortable king-sized bed was perfect. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. They provided great service and were happy to assist with any requests. We really enjoyed the separate dining room for guests with dogs, and the added bonus of dog beds and bowls in the rooms.

All of our rooms were too hot and very dusty. The soap dispenser was broken in my room. The beds were very lumpy. My son and daughter in law had a double room facing the lake but someone had left the sliding door unlocked and as we arrived late that could have lead to someone getting into their room.So all in all as stated we stayed their because we were attending a party but it's not a Hotel you would want to stay in for long.
